TREVAN CLARKE - BIOGRAPHY

Charged with a consuming desire to share his gripping testimony and message through the God given talent of music, Trevan Clarke spares no effort when delivering his manicured melodies and life bending lyrics.

His style, an oxymoron of sorts, can best be described as ‘smooth edginess’; a musical cocktail of reggae, soul and R&B…An immense talent, this one-time secular artiste today lives by the words of Philippians 4:13 which states, “I can do all thing through Christ who strengthens me.”

Trevan’s poise belies his youthfulness and it does not take too much effort to see why the 20 year old is being championed as the new ‘Poster Boy’ of gospel. With several tracks already in heavy rotation on local radio such as the patriotic ‘Jamaica Land We Love’, ‘Joy’ and ‘Lord I thank You’, his ministry is already blossoming into the promise it first revealed when he initially gave his life to the Lord at age 12.
‘Joy’ and ‘Lord I Thank You’ are singles produced while under the management of Gareth Hamm of Lighthouse Recordz who discovered and honed his talent initially.

A true ambassador of the values of his convictions, Trevan posses the potential to be a revolutionary force and a positive influence particularly among the youth.

Trevan is presently a member of the gospel pioneers, Katalys Crew, which recently underwent a transformation that saw them moving away from being a group and are now truly a crew of spiritually charged individuals. His stablemates Clifford Henry and Kavel Smith, like himself all bear the firebrand mantra for which the crew had earned international recognition and continue to carry the banner of 'Agents of Change'.
In his first year with well known producer and founder of Katalys Crew Paul Barclay
He was awarded with Song Of The Year, Mega Artiste Of The Year and The Peoples Choice Award for the patriotic song Jamaica Land We Love on the Summer Breeze Riddim produced by Katalys Crew Productions.

At 9:22am on June 11, 2009, A child of GOD said…: “Honor the Lord with your body” (I Corinthians 6:20).

The Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. We are commanded to honor the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honoring the Lord with your body.

When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honoring the Lord with your body. You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind, and strength.” Remember to honor the Lord by taking care of your body.

Enjoy the treasures of the season, but don’t allow the hustle and bustle of the season to rob you from simply enjoying the blessing of your friends, family, and loved ones. As you honor the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and walk in love all the days of your life!

Once upon a time there was this
girl who had four boyfriends.

She loved the 4th boyfriend the
most & adorned him with rich
robes & treated him to the finest
of delicacies. She gave him nothing
but the best.

She also loved the 3rd boyfriend very
much & was always showing him off
to neighboring kingdoms. However,
she feared that one day he would leave
her for another.

She also loved her 2nd boyfriend. He
was her confidant & was always kind, considerate & patient with her. When-
ever this girl faced a problem, she could confide in him, & he would help her get through the difficult times.

The girl's 1st boyfriend was a very loyal partner & had made great contributions
in maintaining her wealth & kingdom. However, she did not love the first
boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply,
she hardly took notice of him!

One day, the girl fell ill & she knew her
time was short. She thought of her
luxurious life & wondered, I now have
four boyfriends with me, but when I die,
I'll be all alone.'

Thus, she asked the 4th boyfriend, 'I
loved you the most, endowed you with
the finest clothing & showered great care over you. Now that I'm dying, will you
follow me & keep me company?'

'No way!' replied the 4th boyfriend, & he walked away without another word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife
right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the 3rd boyfriend,
'I loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me & keep me company?'

'No!', replied the 3rd boyfriend. 'Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to marry someone else!'

Her heart sank & turned cold.

She then asked the 2nd boyfriend, 'I
have always turned to you for help &
you've always been there for me. When
I die, will you follow me and keep me company?'

'I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!', replied the 2nd boyfriend. 'At the very
most, I can only walk with you to your
grave.'

His answer struck her like a bolt of
lightning, & the girl was devastated.

Then a voice called out: 'I'll go with you.
I'll follow you no matter where you go.'

The girl looked up, & there was her first boyfriend. He was very skinny as he suffered from malnutrition & neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, 'I should
have taken much better care of you
when I had the chance!'

In truth, you have 4 boyfriends
in your lives:

Your 4th boyfriend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your 3rd boyfriend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you die, it will
all go to others.

Your 2nd boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the grave.

And your 1st boyfriend is your Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your Soul is the only thing that
will follow you where ever you go.

Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now,
for it is the only part of you that will follow you to the throne of God & continue with
you throughout Eternity.

Thought for the day:
Remember, when the world pushes
you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.
